Course Overview: 

All businesses need to have an understanding of marketing, in order to achieve success.  This course will help you gain an understanding of the importance of marketing in relation to owning and running a successful business. 

 

This course will be particularly beneficial to students who intend to study business at the post-secondary level, plan on starting their own company in the future, or intend to pursue a career in the creative industry.  At the end of the term, you will have an understanding of:

Late Assignments: 

Late assignments will be penalized 10% per day, up to a maximum of 50%.  All assignments that are turned in must be written on your own paper unless otherwise stated.  As this course can no longer charge fees, you must not print any assignments unless you are granted permission to do so.  Absolutely no Term 1 assignments may be handed after the marks cutoff for Term1.

 

Computer Lab Policies and Procedures:

Students are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that is appropriate to a computer lab.  Failure to follow the policies listed below may result in the loss of computer privileges.  It is expected that students will: 

Ø      Take proper care of computer towers, screens, keyboards, mice and/or desks

Ø      Use the computers or networks for business purposes ONLY

o       No Myspace or Webgames at any time!

Ø      Refrain from changing or modifying the operating system of computers

Ø      Keep food or beverages away from computer workstations
